Looking for a talented, passionate and creative sous chef to join our team at Dream a Dozen, a cloud bakery where the sky is the limit! We are looking for someone who loves to dream big and has a natural talent for turning those dreams into delicious, mouth-watering baked goods. Your role will be to lead our kitchen staff with enthusiasm and energy, ensuring that everyone is working together seamlessly to produce the best-baked goods. Responsibilities: Planning seasonal and festive menus and developing new recipes that will excite our customers Manage and coordinate the kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and supervising work Ensure that all baked goods are prepared according to recipes and are of the highest quality Perform regular quality checks to maintain our high standards Keep all kitchen equipment properly maintained and in good working order Monitor inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies and place orders as needed Ensure that all kitchen safety and sanitation standards are followed Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed Assist with food cost control and menu pricing to ensure profitability Qualifications: Passion for baking and creative recipe development Strong leadership and management skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to multitask and work in high-pressure environments Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards Prior experience as a pastry chef or similar role in a bakery or restaurant environment Hospitality degree or pastry diploma or equivalent experience
