Job Summary
Technology @ FanCodeWe have one mission: Create a platform for all sports fans. Built by sports fans for sports fans. Were at the beginning of our story and growing at an incredible pace. Our tech stack is hosted on AWS and is built on Cloudfront / AWS API Gateway, NGINX, Node.js / Java, Redis / ElastiCache and MySQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch as our end to end stack. We have a microservices based architecture based on Node.js, Python, PHP & Java to serve isolated product features with discrete architectures to serve the respective use-cases. Besides these, we heavily use Kafka, Spark, Redshift and other cutting edge tech to keep improving FanCode's performance. As a data-driven team, we also use R, Python and other big data technologies for Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics.
You will be joining the Infra Engineering Team at FanCode that builds a fresh and stable environment for our talented teams of developers to thrive. As well as building a great foundation, Core Infra is also responsible for spreading their knowledge throughout the other teams, they make sure everyone is taking advantage of the easy to use infrastructure, and applying the best practices when it comes to Continuous Delivery, Containerisation, Performance,Networking, Security etc.

The platform is a result of the evolving pattern of sports consumption in India. Fan engagement with sports has extended significantly from being just information seekers to content creators, experience enthusiasts and much more. A fragmented market exists wherein a variety of content/commerce solutions are being offered by different sports platforms. FanCode aims to be the single aggregator platform that will connect the evolved sports audience with relevant sports products and services.
Launched in March 2019, FanCode today offers a personalised, ad-free, curated sports experience across news, live match scores, research-based insights, fantasy sports statistics, expert fantasy tips, in-depth game analysis and access to engage with other sports fans, all on a single platform.
FanCode, from the house of Dream11, has already amassed over 1 crore+ app installs by sports fans on Google Play Store & the App Store.
You will be joining the Infra Engineering Team at FanCode that builds a fresh and stable environment for our talented teams of developers to thrive. As well as building a great foundation, Core Infra is also responsible for spreading their knowledge throughout the other teams, they make sure everyone is taking advantage of the easy to use infrastructure, and applying the best practices when it comes to Continuous Delivery, Containerisation, Performance,Networking, Security etc.
Your Role:
- Designing and implementing the services and tools we need to manage and scale a service oriented architecture, e.g. service discovery, config managers, container orchestration and more
- Network and Security Implementations at Scale
- Building Cloud Agnostic Architectures with Multi/Hybrid Cloud approaches
- solid Infrastructure as a Code by using automation tools such as Terraform/Ansible/Python/Jenkins
- Build and design self serve infrastructure automation on scale
- Build and maintain container orchestration Platform
- Optimise and improve deployment workflow
- and support tools for infrastructure to be used by other engineers
- Evangelising best practices to the wider engineering organisation
- engineers regarding development, concepts and best practices
Must Have:
- Extensive Unix/Linux & Networking understanding required
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experience coding in higher-level languages (e.g. Python, Golang or Java)
- Strong design patterns, system architecture, and best practices
Good to Have:
- Experience working with multiple clouds environment (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration e.g. Kubernetes
- Good understanding of observatory tools and logging
- Enthusiasm for open source contribution
- Previous experience working in an environment with microservices
- Knowledge of IT security
- Experience in distributed and big data technologies
