Job Summary Summary: Automation Engineer will be a member of the Infrastructure Center of Excellence. Responsibility: The candidate should be able to perform Infrastructure activities such as below:
  • Own infrastructure to support our Azure-based Cloud platform.
  • Creating and utilizing tools to monitor applications and services in the cloud including system health indicators, trend identification, and anomaly detection preferably tools provided by Microsoft itself.
  • Should be able to designing, developing and maintaining software that supports 100% automation.
  • Evangelize and implement the concepts of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Working with development teams to help engineer scalable, reliable, and resilient software running in the cloud.
  • Participating in on-call escalation to troubleshoot customer facing issues.
  • Enhancing monitoring of systems, services to solve problems before they become problems for our customers.
  • Analyze and monitor performance bottlenecks and key metrics to optimize software and system performance.
  • Providing analytics and forecasts for cloud capacity, troubleshooting analysis, and uptime
Skills: Very strong skills in Microsoft Azure technologies and automation tools Required Skills:
  • Three (3) years working in Azure deployment, support and management within a large-scale infrastructure setup.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience developing and/or managing software source code.
  • Experience leading and working in as a member of an Agile team
  • Strong Scripting experience required (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Broad knowledge and implementation experience with infrastructure as code, DevOps, and cloud automation technologies
  • Strong experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Hashi Vault and Hashi Nomad a plus
  • Strong experience with Azure Devops, CI/CD Pipelines, and GIT
  • Experience with deployment and automation of various workloads to Azure and automation using Azure PowerShell, ARM Templates, Azure Automation
Basic Qualifications:
  • Overall 5+ years experience in Infrastructure platform engineering
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
