Job Summary Ecolab is partnering with SMC2 to develop the Ecolab Digital Center (EDC) in Bangalore, India Operated by SMC2, EDC is designed to help Ecolab achieve its goal to make the world cleaner, safer and healthier protecting people and vital resources by developing new digital capabilities to leverage across its global operations. Teams at the Ecolab Digital Center will work collaboratively with Ecolab IT & Commercial Digital Solutions associates around the world on cutting edge digital innovation to accelerate growth around key initiatives in analytics, application development and digital development. Summary We re looking for an experienced C# Developer to be part of our CDS Industrial team working on mission critical enterprise applications in a distributed environment, having significant infrastructure and integration components. These software applications are focused on Nalco s and Ecolab s businesses for delivering value to our customers through web, mobile and desktop tools. Many of the systems deployed at the customer site are integrated with customers PLC and process control systems. This data is captured in Ecolab/Nalco servers for BI/analytics purposes. The ideal candidate needs to have a broad understanding of all aspects of software development and familiarity with the industrial market space is a plus. Key Responsibilities:
  • Synthesize business requirements and translate them to appropriate technology solutions.
  • Product development for C# and SQL based solutions.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
  • Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Think strategically and balance short-term needs with longer-term business priorities
  • Challenge status quo and champion new ideas throughout cross functional organizations; ability to inspire confidence and trust with peers and cross functional business teams
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years overall and as a C# programmer for 3 years
  • Have worked on desktop application development using UWP or WPF
  • Well versed in C#, SQL, HTML5, Java Script, ASP.NET, WPF, and MVC
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team oriented
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiar with project management methodology, Agile/Scrum and TFS or JIRA
  • Proven experience working directly with end customers or internal business units
  • Prior experience working with global development teams
  • Experience in IoT environments
  • Experience in working in Azure
