Robotics Engineer - Navi Mumbai

We are looking for a passionate robotics engineer to join our engineering team. He/she should have good understanding of robotics system design.

Job Location: Mahape, Navi Mumbai

Required Experience:

• 5 Years minimum experience in RF system designing or show us that you are as good as anyone & we will waive this requirement.
• B.Tech/B.E, or M-tech in relative field.

Responsibilities:

• Algorithm Development: Design and implement algorithms for robot control, perception, localization, mapping, and path planning for various robotic platforms including quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and autonomous vehicles.
• Software Integration: Lead the integration of software components with robotic hardware, sensors, actuators, and communication systems for different types of robots.
• User Interface Development: Develop user interfaces for robot control and monitoring, tailored for different robot types such as quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and autonomous vehicles, using Qt framework or similar tools.
• System Testing: Conduct testing and validation of robotic systems in simulation and real-world environments, including quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and autonomous vehicles, and oversee troubleshooting and debugging activities.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation of software designs, system architecture, and testing procedures specific to each robot type to ensure thorough documentation of the development process.
• Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in robotics technology, identify opportunities for innovation, and lead research and development efforts to enhance robotic capabilities for defense applications.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electronics engineers, and software developers to integrate robotic systems into overall defense system designs.
• Manage the project for successful completion. Prepare aggressive but realistic timelines and execute it with success.

Skills Required:

• C/C++ Programming: Expertise in C and C++ programming languages for embedded systems development and robotics programming. Proficiency in Linux is a must.
• Python Skills: Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and algorithm development in robotics applications.
• ROS (Robot Operating System): Extensive experience with ROS for robotics software development, including package creation, node development, and message passing, for various robot types.
• Robotics Principles: In-depth understanding of robotics principles, including kinematics, dynamics, and control theory, applicable to quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and autonomous vehicles.
• Algorithmic Thinking: Strong ability to design and implement algorithms for robotic applications, such as SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and motion planning, for different robot types.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges related to various robot platforms.
• Biased, but for action/execution.
• Self-Driven, do not require constant input to do the job.
• Focussed, like John Wick.

Good to have Skills:

• Defence experience: Prior experience in military grade robotics system designing.
• Experience with Robotics Platforms: Hands-on experience with robotic platforms such as quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and autonomous vehicles, and proven ability to work with them effectively.
• AI: Knowledge of RAG implementation and agent creation using LLMs in resource constraint electronics/SBCs.
• Machine Learning: Familiarity with machine learning concepts for robotics applications, such as computer vision or reinforcement learning, applicable to different types of robots.
• Simulation Tools: Experience with simulation tools such as Gazebo, V-REP, or Webots for robotic system simulation for different robot types.
• Knowledge of the world defence ecosystem is a plus.
