IoT Intern - Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Firmware Development: Assist in designing, developing, and testing firmware for IoT devices using ESP32 microcontrollers.
• Real-time Operating Systems: Learn and implement FreeRTOS for embedded systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with electronic components.
• Optimization: Support in optimizing firmware for performance, reliability, and low power consumption.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Use various tools and methodologies to debug and troubleshoot firmware issues.
• Communication Protocols: Learn about and implement communication protocols such as BLE, Wi-Fi, UART, and SPI.
• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Documentation: Document firmware designs, processes, and procedures.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in IoT and embedded systems.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Experience: 0-1 years of experience in IoT firmware development. (Freshers are welcome to apply!)
• Educational Qualification: Enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Programming Knowledge: Basic knowledge of C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Microcontroller Familiarity: Familiarity with microcontrollers (preferably ESP32) and basic IoT concepts.
• Communication Protocols: Understanding of communication protocols like BLE, Wi-Fi, and UART is a plus.
• Debugging Tools: Interest in debugging tools and methodologies for embedded systems.
• Reading Schematics: Ability to read and understand schematics and PCB layouts.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Pre-Placement Offer (PPO): This internship comes with a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO), giving you the opportunity to transition into full-time employment after the internship.
• Commitment: Candidates are required to commit to working with the company for a minimum of 2 years after completing the internship (minimum 6 months). This ensures long-term collaboration and professional growth.
• Stipend: A stipend will be paid upon joining the company full-time, with the understanding of the 2-year commitment.
