Job Summary

Job Title: Senior Engineer Motor Design (Mechanical)

Location: Coimbatore

Function: E&E Motor

Experience: 2 9 years

Key Purpose

Drive the development and mechanical design of induction motors and high-efficiency special electric machines, including PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) and synchronous reluctance (Syn Rel) motors, ensuring robust performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 to 7 years of hands-on experience in the mechanical design of electric motors, specifically Induction motors, PMSM, or synchronous reluctance motors
  • Strong familiarity with motor design principles and industry practices

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design, prototyping, and validation of induction and special electric motors
  • Manage engineering change processes related to motor design and ensure timely statutory approvals
  • Understand Voice of Customer (VOC) inputs to formulate design strategies aligned with performance goals
  • Perform structural, thermal, and rotor dynamic analyses to optimize mechanical and thermal motor performance in collaboration with the electrical engineering team
  • Evaluate how mechanical stresses affect motor performance and balance design for optimal testing and durability
  • Ensure designs meet applicable standards such as IEC, NEMA, including mounting, dimensions, noise, vibration, and ingress protection criteria

Qualification :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering
