Elucidata s mission is to accelerate drug discovery by transforming the way molecular biomedical data is used to drive decisions. Polly, our proprietary platform delivers ML-ready multi-omics data to R&D teams. R&D teams can build, publish, and host bespoke analytical workflows on the ML-ready data and make better data-driven decisions to discover therapeutic assets that have high odds of success in the clinic. We are an 80+member multi-disciplinary team based across the US & India.

  • Our proprietary technology has enabled the discovery of 2 validated drug targets and the identification of 7 drug targets across immunology, oncology, and metabolomic disorders.
  • Currently, we have partnered with more than 40 R&D entities in large pharma companies, early-stage biotech companies as well as premier academic centers.


We are looking for an Application Scientist to provide enterprise-level assistance to our customers. Basically, we need a teammate with a strong customer service background and a positive outlook on problem-solving and if you think you have got these then this is the role for you.

Your Role:

Elucidata is seeking an Application Scientist passionate about making our customers successful by providing support for our technology and solutions. In this role, you will get the opportunity to work closely with our customers and a team of bioinformaticians and data scientists to ensure our products and services continue to serve the evolving needs of our customers in the life sciences industry. Ultimately, you will be a person our customer s trust. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their problems/queries.


Key Responsibilities

You will be expected to be an expert Polly user and communicator:

  • You will be troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve customer issues.
  • You will grow to become a product expert who astutely understands how to best serve a customer s pain points and needs.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, client engagement, support, & communication of functionality of Polly software platform.
  • Onboard, train, and re-train prospects and users, helping them understand Elucidata s Polly platform: how to use it, the science behind it, and how it can create value for them
  • Respond to customer requests for technical support, giving technical seminars, performing product demonstrations, providing support, troubleshooting, and assisting with the execution of voice of customer surveys.
  • Maintain detailed reports listing requests to technical assistance, steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved.
  • Provide knowledge and user feedback to product management and R&D for the continuous improvement of the product.
  • This role also brings the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of data scientists, product managers, and engineers to translate customer requirements into exciting results, features, and products on our platform.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, chemistry, analytical chemistry, or related discipline
  • 1-3 years of experience working in the life sciences industry.
  • Good listening skills and empathetic, positive attitude with a passion to help our customers reach their goals
  • Solid communication skills and top-notch presentation and training skills
  • A proven track record of problem-solving skills must be demonstrated
  • The ability to work independently with little supervision and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and systematic troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid scientific understanding of biological systems
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams including pre-sales and sales, customer success team, product team to provide support to customers.
  • Good writing skills and experience in developing technical product sheets or documents
  • Have an experimental approach, who is a self-starter.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with omics data/understanding of omics data and analysis methods
  • Proficiency in R or python
  • Excellent communication
