Position Summary:
eQ Technologic is seeking a User Experience designer, responsible for bringing the user to the forefront in the software development process. This role requires a strong understanding of user experience best practices and hands on experience with interaction design, visual design, information architecture, user research and UX strategy. Job Description:
You will be responsible for working with the Product Owners and our Customers to extract features that will meet end user needs and improve business results. You will wear many UX hats and be asked to develop a variety of UX deliverables from designing Customer Journeys to Hands-on in UX Delivery User Research, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Usability Reviews, Heuristics, Expert Reviews, Usability Testing etc

Manage UX Design assignments, contribute to product roadmaps. Have a strong point of view on Interaction Design, Visual Design, Creative Visualizations and Responsive Design.

Responsibility:

• Work with a cross functional team using Agile methodology to define user stories and necessary UX deliverables as part of sprint planning with the scrum project team you are assigned
• Advocate user s needs and collaborate with the Product Owners and various teams contributing across product lifecycle to align to ensure product reflects the experiences its designed for.
• Turn requirements into intuitive interfaces for the end users.
• Analyze and resolve UI design alternatives and issues
• Prepare UX documentation (navigational flows, wire frames, mock-ups, use cases, task flows prototypes, etc.) to be used by the development team
• Collect and action UX feedbacks and manage changes to UX deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure UX documentation is continuously updated and distributed as required.
• Bring in market insights by studying competition, monitoring consumer trends etc
• Create mock-ups using XD for development during a given sprint
• Evangelize user-centered activities, work with internal partners and influence stakeholders to insure execution

Ideal Candidate:In selecting for this position, we will focus on the following criteria:

• Background in user experience and/or human factors and interaction design, at least 5-7 years professional experience. Experience with complex Enterprise software products
• Professional experience OR degree in human computer interaction, human factors engineering, computer science, visual design, interaction design, or other related design discipline required.
• Strong portfolio or work samples demonstrating user-centered design experience in the industry or as part of degree curriculum
• Hands-on experience with cloud, web apps, desktop and related responsive versions.
• Practical experience working in project-intensive operational environments
• Experience rapidly iterating designs to align to sprint timetables
• Knowledge and proficiency with in industry standard UX software including XD
• Passionate about producing high-quality and engaging UX deliverables
• Experience with research methods that lend themselves to an agile environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, product lines, roles and geographical and time zone boundaries
• Willingness to travel
• Form effective trust based relationships with program stakeholders
• Attract, build and retain the talent required to operate a high performance team; nurture team capabilities and development
• Provide management rigor: schedules, reviews, resource planning, visibility
• Train and coach others in performance of duties
• Serve as UX representative of the group's interests in meetings and discussions

It is highly desirable that the candidate possess one or more of the following:

• Experience designing web and mobile applications
• Experience with design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with Lean and/or Agile development approaches
• Experience creating prototypes using UX tools such as Axure, HTML, CSS
• Understanding and experience with HTML and CSS
• Industry domain exposure relevant to data as service apps/platform.
• Experience as an end user of complex software applications.
• Exposure to usability testing using online tools/Tobii/Morae.
