Job Summary

Role Summary

The EQ Infrastructure Operations Analyst role is responsible for supporting IT production and non-production server operations. Support coverage will vary day to day based upon business and technology priorities. The role is a critical team player collaborating with local and global peers working throughout our technology service portfolio. Attention focused on production service operations and resolving incidents with the ability to determine priorities. Day to day responsibilities will include service alert review/troubleshooting, incident escalations, change management, IT project task assignments, written and verbal communications, and responsible time management. Success is tied to maintaining service level agreements and reducing/eliminating production service outages.

Business Function

The EQ US Server Support team is principally responsible for supporting the US server platforms in both production and non-production environments. Primary support for Windows servers in a heavily virtualized environment. The US Server Support team is currently comprised of team members located in the Twin Cities area and Chennai, India. Very collaborative work environment amongst the internal team members as well as with other technology teams to maintain service operations. The team works with a blended workload of incident/service request tickets and assigned project deliverables for both IT and business initiatives. Performance of the role is reviewed on ticket SLA s, project task completion, teamwork support, automation improvement, and contributing new ideas to improve day to day task and process efficiency.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Resolving incidents and completing service requests within agreed SLA s

  • Collaborate with technical peers and business partners to support daily operations as needed

  • Provide practical technical skills during project delivery lifecycle

  • Attend project and daily team status meetings

  • Deliver support documentation and knowledge transfer as required on completion of project delivery

  • Work within Equiniti s service and change management processes

  • Provide a productive and technically capable remote work environment

  • Present themselves professionally through written and verbal communications

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:

  • Microsoft Server Operating Systems Windows 2012 - 2019

  • Minimum 5 years experience preferred
  • Linux Operating Systems

  • Red Hat Enterprise, Ubuntu, CentOS, or SUSE Enterprise
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, SCOM, SCCM administration experience

  • Exposure with PowerShell and automation

  • Virtual Infrastructure in Hyper-V, VMware experience

  • New Relic monitoring familiarity or experience desired

  • Veeam Data Backup knowledge is desired

  • Vulnerability and patching management using Qualys and SCCM

  • SSL certificate management and renewal experience

  • F5 (BigIP) and/or Kemp application load balancer experience

  • Microsoft SQL Server exposure

  • Troubleshooting website related issues (IIS)

  • Progress (IPswitch) SFTP Move IT setup and administration

  • MCSE or relevant Microsoft certifications

  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification
