Job Summary About The Opportunity We are looking for a Transmission Engineer that will provide technical service and support to our customers. In this role, you will fix and resolve problems to stabilize and optimize customer networks. You will configure and integrate different nodes and solutions in new and live customer networks. Working as a support engineer will require a broad knowledge within telecom and Datacom, covering both hardware, software and network knowledge. You will work, collaborate, and communicate in an international environment, both with colleagues internally as well as customers and suppliers to Ericsson. The role more than often requires you to seek big responsibility, and it is important that you can work independently. What you will do Identification of point of failure/ Work around implementation Technical Governance handling RCA and work around implementation Emergency/Adhoc support to team Inter domain support and end to end driving of new improvement ideas. 24/7 technical support to team. Performs trend analysis to proactively detect possible failures. This shall ensure restoration and repair as a result of its own analysis or when prompted by automated operations or domain support Service Function processes. You will bring Min. Graduate Degree in Engineering/ Computer science or Equivalent 4 to 8 years of experience in supporting on customer Queries, support or solution in a telecom environment. Domain-experience: Transmission Network with required and validated experience in Microwave, Fiber and IP Good knowledge of Router, Microwave and DWDM Good knowledge in IP Networking Protocols like OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, LDP, L2VPN, L3VPN, BFD, Segment routing. Understanding of Switching VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, HSRP. Telecom knowledge (2G, 3G, 4G Service Flow & Interfaces). Product/Vendor knowledge on Ericsson/ Cisco / Huawei/Nokia/Juniper. Good Communication & trouble-shooting skills. 4-10 years of relevant in IP Domain
Qualification :
Min. Graduate Degree in Engineering/ Computer science or Equivalent
