As part of EY GDS Solutions Team, the Solutions Design leader will be responsible for designing innovative and efficient solutions for EY member firms.

The opportunity

Were looking for anAssistant Directorwith expertise inSolutions Designto join theEY - Solutions Team.The incumbent is responsible for designing solutions by leading a team of analysts & supervisors; onboarding new processes, execution planning, integration planning, testing and automation post go live.

Your key responsibilities

  • Delivery of optimal and appropriate solutions to address business needs and requirements
  • Define high-level design principles and approaches
  • Keep abreast of developments in design methodologies, patterns and standards and establish best practice for the team
  • Act as the first escalation point for design issues
  • Drive quality and scale efficiency in solutions
  • Onboarding new processes
  • Integration and execution planning
  • Design Testing
  • Automation post go live
  • Manage, develop and implement the aspects of quality compliance and accuracy attributes
  • Review the existing quality processes and procedures and provide suggestions for improvement in business processes for efficient functioning
  • Work on internal projects and drive the team to deliver goods on those projects
  • Manage the department and ensure that the team consistently delivers quality results
  • Plan, organize and direct transition activities
  • Manage and ensure effective transition of process by scheduling project inputs, assigning resources and responsibilities
  • Carry out appraisals and be responsible for counselling & mentoring of subordinates
  • Plan timely training for respective departments to maintain and improve skills of team members
  • Work with supervisors to understand the teams concerns and resolve them
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and develop Supervisors and others to move to next level
  • Work under pressure, managing absenteeism, attrition and people issues
  • Handle internal escalation as well as escalation from other teams in Global Shared Services regarding people issues or client issues.
  • Providing effective solutions and guiding team members on various Functional issues

Skills and attributes for success

  • Detailed background knowledge or hands-onexperience in solutions design for transition and transformation projects

  • Sound working knowledge of general businessprocesses and organisational framework, such as goals, strategy, culture andstructure

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of verbal andwritten English

  • Ability to develop strong relationships within thecompany and with third parties

  • Ability to demonstrate innovation and creativity

  • Good leadership skills and ability to work wellwithin a team

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Good time management skills and ability tomultitask

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Must be an accounting/ finance graduate.
  • Qualified CA/ ICWA /MBA is preferred
  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience in core finance
  • 5 to 7 years of team leading experience
  • At least 8 to 10 years of post qualification experience (excluding articleship experience) if you are a qualified CA/ICWA
  • At least 8 to 10 years of overall experience if you hold a masters or graduate degree
  • Experience in leading a core finance team is desirable
  • Advanced Excel Knowledge
  • Strong accounting Knowledge

    Ideally, youll also have

    • PMP Certification will be an added advantage
