Data Scientist

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will collaborate with a cross-functional agile team, including designers, developers and product leaders to ensure our product road map and scalable feature set solutions.

Hands on experience with different data science processes using tools like, Python / R programming, mathematical, statistical analytic knowledge, data mining / text mining / NLP / NLTK, Text analytics, Speech recognition etc.. You will be providing quality answers to large-scale problems with broad impact.

Job Description:

• Define quality metrics and instrumentation, and drive continuous improvements to experiences based on data.
• Understand business problems and set objectives by asking appropriate questions.
• Knowledge of different data sources and gathering data from it, identify new data sources based on the problem statement and objectives.
• Extract relevant data from unstructured data using Natural Language processing and regex like tools.
• Hands on experience on various tools of data cleaning and transformation.
• Mathematical and statistical modeling to get better insights from data for problem solving and get actionable insights.
• Define appropriate feature and data points for analysis and model development as per gathered objectives and problem statements.
• Data visualization tool knowledge, effective communication to convey data analysis findings for business actions.

Responsibilities

• Gather the information along with team and collaborate with different team on delivery of business insights.
• The candidate will work on exciting new developments in the area of data processing, including building visual data presentation.
• Deep understanding of data science technology.
• Research, experiment, build prototypes using data science applicable to the proposed solutions.
• Worked on similar POC / Product of data science.
• Knowledge of web-scrapping, API data pulling.
• Knowledge of different data format, databases, data structures and connectivity methods.
• Python pandas and R library knowledge for statics and mathematical application.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis in high dimensions.
• Verify algorithms by simulation and user tests.
• Use NLP to gather data points from unstructured data set.
• Research-minded, ability to run experiments independently Technical Skills.
• Study and innovate in data science learning and its application in preferred but not limited to Analytics.

Skills & Experience

• Must have 3+ years of expert-level understanding of Data Science technologies including some or all: knowledge representation & reasoning (KRR), natural language processing (NLP), data cleaning and transformation tool, data visualization tools.
• Good exposure to Distributed Computing and its applicable skill sets.
• Expertise in Python programming libraries like pandas, numpy, nltk, re etc.
• Exposure to Hadoop and RDMS.
• Implementation knowledge of NON SQL database.
• Elastic Search, Kaldi , Tensor flow
• Should have first-hand experience working with data science project.
• Solid data science background and familiar with data types and databases, and experience with different libraries to implement production solution.
• Strong Background in NLP , Text Mining, data mining.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in Computer Science / Engineering.

Preferred: Masters in Computer Science / Engineering.
