Must Have

• Designing, developing, and testing ETL processes for a data warehouse; from the acquisition and staging of data, storing records within the warehouses historical archive and transforming records for loading into the semantic layer
• Creation of well-formed, elegant ETL design and code to ensure supportability and maintainability after implementation
• Design and specify source and target mapping
• Creating transformation logic and code based on business rules
• Author and execute unit test scripts against ETL code / processes
• Adapt ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements
• Define and capture metadata and rules associated with ETL processes
• Coordinate with solution architect and/or data architect to ensure compliance with standards
• Prepare key documentation to support the technical design in technical specifications
• Contribute to solution design, championing and promoting the application of ETL best practices
• Design and development of the Data Warehouses batch management control processes and error handling procedures
• Develop a deep, detailed understanding of the client s data, the relationships, and requirements
• Identifies ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
• Resolves complex technical design issues
• Identifies and creates solutions to improve system performance and availability
• Provides functional and/or technical guidance in evaluating applications systems or evaluating requests for proposals
• Keeps management appropriately informed of progress and issues
• Facilitates root cause analysis of system issues to minimize impact and future occurrences
• Creates system documentation / run book(s) and serves as a technical reviewer and contributor in requirements, design and code reviews
• Develops accurate estimates on work packages and ensures the accuracy of estimates developed by less experienced internal and third-party team members
• Coordinates transition from development to maintenance and production team(s), and/or constructs and implements necessary controls to assure system/application traceability

Nice to Have

• 8 plus years developing in and supporting data warehouse implementations
• Expert proficiency, knowledge, and experience in the entire DW stack with traditional OLAP multi-dimensional cubes and tabular models) as well as reporting tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
• Must have hands-on experience working with Pentaho Data Integration tool and similar tools
• Experience with multiple data warehouse architectures; understanding the differences and possessing the ability to articulate circumstances for use
• Possesses drive, demonstrable initiative and a strong work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
• Flexible team player within a small, multi-disciplinary team
