The role involves working closely with the developers and engineering team to ensure proper implementation of the user interface for Consumer applications. A large emphasis is placed on creating a superior user experience through constant product evolution and iteration, and improvements to overall usability, information presentation and process. The key responsibilities for this role include: Coordinate with product design and engineering to create application front end as per design. Plan and estimate projects and report hours. Develop user-facing UI for large and complicated web applications. Integrate front-end applications with developers. Stick to established best coding practices and standards. Optimize UI code, CSS and JavaScript for best performance. Maintain, fix bugs and improve code. Make HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to work well across browser platforms. Developing clean, optimized and fully responsive UI components. What makes you a good fit for this role : Excellent HTML5 and CSS3 knowledge in Web/mobile projects and responsive UI. Excellent in JavaScript. jQuery - version 1.4 or higher (Must have knowledge of Ajax, DOM Implementation, Event binding). Ability to create advanced interactions using jQuery. Should be able to handle UI issues related to cross-browser Compatibility (i.e. 10+), cross-platform issues. Must have the ability to convert PSD to web standards HTML5/XHTML. Should be able to write W3C compliant code. Good to have : Exposure to the Django framework. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for UI development. SEO Principles.
