Core Business platforms
This team builds core business platforms that scale to several millions of updates every hour through use of robust technology. The team leverages the best architectural practices to launch critical business initiatives such as Flipkart Plus. The teams here solve for massive scale and complexity in transactional systems. The team leads the thought process for new business models like Hyperlocal Ecommerece, Omnichannel etc.
Growth Insights and Recommendations
Tap into deep knowledge of the buyer patterns to come up with insights to help sellers with a baseline shift in the business. The teams leverage deep learning models to come up with following insights and recommendations:
Selection Insights help sellers identify the products that are in demand and are trendy
Pricing Insights help the sellers price the products to make most out of the demand and their inventory
Inventory insights help the sellers predict demand and place the inventory closest to it
Business design insights
Quality and Control
Identifying good products from bad through data has been the holy grail of ecommerce. This team builds several advanced machine learned models to identify and rate the quality of the products based on several signals right from user ratings, reviews and returns. The team also builds products to design rewards, punishments and behaviour shaping constructs to ensure that sellers are adherent to Flipkarts product and service quality.
What youll do:
Spearhead a world-class team of Product managers and define the long-term strategy and vision for the product, leveraging research, experience and new technologies to deliver features to customers/stakeholders
Bring value addition by thinking big and continuously pitching new product ideas
Drive requirement definition, customer experience design, product roadmap and prioritization
Define and own the business metrics. Work with the Product Leadership to prioritize problems or themes to reach the outcomes.
Ability to translate complex processes into technical requirements while also managing delivery and operations
Work with the Engineering and design teams to build a product that meets the expected outcomes and market needs
What youll need:
12+ years of experience, demonstrating management of tasks, resolution of problems and issues and experience in implementing action plans to meet objectives. 10+ years of product management experience and an academic background of Post graduation in Management (MBA) or equivalent.
Define strategy and vision for the Business you will lead. Experience leading product teams establishing product roadmaps and ensuring teams deliver on key achievements; preferably with an the Indian customer base.
Excellent communicator who can deal with the most ambiguous situation and be able to present data to be able to operate.
An obsession with technology - enthusiastic in developing understanding the potential of technology and how to convert it to solve innate consumer needs
Knowledge in developing elegant and simple feature functionalities which deliver the world-class user experience.
