Principal Accountabilities Facilitate software estimation, scheduling, planning, design, implementation, and closeout activities while employing best software development practices and adhering to relevant company and industry standards Must balance evolving technical requirements with fixed budgets and schedules and communicate risks and options to leadership in a timely fashion Coordinate software development events such as sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration, providing incremental and overall updates to status and condition of software product progress Work closely with Product Management to maintain and prioritize the backlog Mentor peer and junior developers and coach all team members in Agile development principles and software development best practices Resolve conflicts and remove impediments Help teams implement changes effectively Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards Guide development teams to higher development efficiency and agility Help build a productive environment where team members own the product and enjoy working on it Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience 6+ years of software development experience building scalable client facing applications with AWS 2+ years hands-on experience leading and working in Agile teams Experience with modern software development practices such as CI/CD, TDD, and DevOps Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work collaboratively with on-site and remote teams Experience meeting business needs with deliverables under tight deadlines. 3+ years of modern Python web development experience including Django Celery Postgresql Redis 3+ years of front-end web development experience, including HTML5, CSS / SASS React 3+ year s experience with Linux / Ubuntu Familiarity with OWASP Preferred Experience And Skills Experience with microservices and evented architectures. Geospatial / GIS experience Domain experience in Supply-Chain and/or the Transportation industry Experience
