Job Summary

As a member of Software Engineering team, the Software Test Engineer will participate in testing and quality improvements for embedded products for networked Fluid Quality, Level Sensing and IoT platforms. The Software Design Engineer will join a small but growing team of talented people responsible for scaling, securing, and improving our platform and device offerings for clients in the Fluid Quality and Level sensing markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Reviews high-level and detailed requirements specifications.
  • Designs and develops test plans based upon functional and design specifications.
  • Maintains and reviews software test plans, test data and test cases.
  • Analyzes reported bugs and works with software developers, development and project managers to resolve bugs.
  • Executes and maintains automated and manual test cases, analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.
  • Logs results with supporting data and descriptions and high level of quality.
  • Generate requisite documentation
  • Interface with other internal/external departments and customers to provide support, understand program/project requirements
  • Provide technical direction in troubleshooting, Failure Analysis, Root Cause, and Corrective Action processes
  • Support FBS initiatives

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering E&C/E&E/CS
  • Sound fundamentals in Software Engineering.
  • Strong in programming Python, C/C++.

EXPERIENCEREQUIRED

  • Experience with Configuration management tools like bitbucket and git, Agile Project Management tools like Jira, CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

DESIRED

  • Well versed in Linux OS and commands
  • Exposure to testing products using REST API s including automated REST API test tools such as Postman and Swagger.
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP, HTTP, UDP) and networking equipment.
  • Comfortable using lab instruments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and protocol analyzers like Wireshark.
