Job Summary
The candidate should have post-qualification experience of minimum 15 years in strategic procurement pertaining to salt, Coal, raw materials and packaging items in Chemical / Mechanical Industry. He/ She should be conversant with best procurement practices, various terms used in the procurement, taxation etc. and have knowledge of cost estimation, market prices to ensure price reasonability etc.
The candidate shall be responsible for within time and budget procurement, co-ordinate with users & suppliers and act as strong link between them to resolve issues. He/She should ensure availability of material from suppliers on time with all necessary documents and co-ordinate with stores for timely inspection of incoming materials. He/She should ensure timely payment to the suppliers.
Candidate should be strong experienced of imports for various countries. The candidate shall be responsible for Import of key raw materials from overseas suppliers. Candidate should have strong negotiation skills for supply & service contracts / agreements and should understand legal aspects of the contracts, risk involved, risk mitigation etc. He/ She should be thorough in international procurement procedures, incoterms etc.
Candidate should be conversant with LC payment, customs formalities, duty structure etc. Also, should be conversant with local procurement & taxation, contract management for supply & services of the contracts.
He/She should prepare reports on key data and submission of reports to the management.
He/She should have experience of working on SAP & reverse auction technique, computer literacy mainly MS office, Word, excel, power point.
Qualification : B.E / B.Tech (Mech/ Elect/ Chem) with GDMM or MBA in Materials Management from recognized university
