Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Procurement

Managing 2/3 member team which will support in ensuring optimum availability of Raw Material (RM) and Packing Material (PM)

Direct responsibility for RM/PM availability and inventory management

Weekly co-ordination with Stores, Production and Planning for meeting RM requirement

Co-ordinating with Quality & Food Safety Dept for ensuring RM & PM meet our internal standards

Analysis & Cost Savings

Analysing RM spend for BIIB

Creating RM category strategy, identifying & executing cost reduction projects

Sourcing - Raw Material

Identifying alternate vendors suitable for our requirement

Negotiation and price finalization with vendors

Working closely with new product development to de-risk high value single vendor spend

MIS & Processes

Developing MIS system for Procurement to track RM movement, OTIF, Cost Savings etc

Co-ordinating with Finance and IT for their MIS requirements and IT improvements respectively

Additional Responsibilities - Indirect Procurement - Capex

Identifying and negotiating with vendors for Capex Purchases

Identifying and negotiating with vendors for Plant Purchases

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Candidate should have good knowledge of raw material which goes for bakery related products

2. Experience in purchase of key raw material

3. Good Negotiation skills
