Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities

Briefly describe the major responsibilities of the role holder s immediate subordinates
To prepare tender design for transformers and reactors
To participate in contract review activities
To conduct internal/external customer design reviews
To prepare customer drawings and documents as per customer specification and relevant standard.
To prepare manufacturing drawings based on customer drawings and manufacturing standard.
To prepare bill of material and ordering specification for different raw material and bought out components.
Root cause analysis of design issues related to production and site services.
Design and development plan preparation as per sales loading plan
R&D project plan preparation as per 3yr product line strategy
Implementation of global design guidelines and involvement in global design activities
To conduct on job/class room training of new joiners
Briefly describe the nature of the reporting relationship which exists between the role holder and the manager to whom the role holder is accountable.
Identification & Involvement in R&D projects as per 3yr product line R&D strategy
Involvement in global design guideline working group
Involvement in national/international product working group and standard drafting committee
Participation in preparation of annual loading plan,3 month rolling plan and business review meetings
Release of design as per 3 month rolling plan
Participation in contract/design reviews, CIP projects
Root cause analysis of design issues related to production and site services.
Training need identification of subordinates, annual performance appraisal and recruitment activities
Preparation of Capex plan and corporate interface
