Roles and Responsibilities

Scope of Role

As EMI/EMC Test Leadresponsible for electrical components reliability testing and validation and make sure that there should not be any interference in electrical & electronics components in vehicle level.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design reviews PCB placement and routing
• Guide ECAD engineer for PCB routing to achieve EM compliant Design
• Perform SI/PI Analysis and EMC simulations
• Prepare EMC test plans and design load simulators to be used during EMC testing
• Review EMC requirements and participate in customer negotiations
• Conduct EMC testing at external labs and analyze test results
• EMC issue analysis and resolution
• Assist in EMC design and development for power electronic systems
• Lab development testing and documentation of power electronic subsystems
• Magnetic simulation of EMC components and sub systems
• Engineering testing, characterization and verification of EMC components
• Knowledge of the power electronics / Electronics /radio / Railways (Rolling Stock, Traction Equipment, Signalling, Communication equipment).
• Knowledge and analysis of sources of electromagnetic disturbances and electromagnetic phenomena.
• Fixations of EMC design rules, concerning cabling, separation distances, earthling and bonding specifications.
• Knowledge of the EMC standards, especially the EN 61000 series and optionally the EN 50121 ones
• Writing of EMC testing (Test procedures / Test instrumentation / Practice of testing).
• EMC numerical simulation (Tools / Practice).

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience - 2 - 7 Years

• Shall Have good understanding on Automotive EMC requirements
• Shall have in-depth understanding on EMC design requirements for Analog/Digital and mixed signal Circuit Design, high freq. switchers
• Experienced with high speed memories and interconnects like DDR3, GMSL, APIX, Ethernet and high resolution display interface
• Shall understand the intricacies of parts placement, layer stack-up, grounding, shielding, thermal issues, DFM and packaging constraints for achieving EM compliance
• Hands-on on analyzing EMC test results and finding the root cause on EMI issues
• Shall be able to develop the EMC Test plan based on Customer requirements
• Experience on Automotive Display and Infotainment products is an advantage
• Shall be hands-on on Hyperlinks SI/PI and some industry standard EMC simulation tool
