Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager - Taxation This is a key role within Taxation function for which we need CA/ CPA with significant tax reporting, tax technology and transfer pricing experience. US income tax and International tax exposure a must. VAT/Indirect tax experience is a plus. Will report to VP/AVP, Tax Accounting and collaborate with the Global tax team, accounting/controllership team, financial auditors and tax advisors. The role will also support international/US tax streams. Encouraged to work on strict deadlines, in a fairly dynamic/ fast paced business environment while being a good team leader/ player.Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for drafting and implementation of tax accounting policies as per US GAAP / ASC 740 and local tax laws for multiple legal entities; timely closure of tax-related matters and reporting for quarterly and annual basis (Forms 10-Q and 10-K)
- Manage Year End US GAAP Close End to end management of annual and quarterly tax packs prepared by regional tax leads (and teams) in accordance with US GAAP
- Maintain accounting for deferred tax assets and Liabilities in Local and US GAAP, including valuation allowance
- Identify and monitor the companys uncertain tax positions; be involved in the preparation and reviews of related memos
- Assist with gathering of information for purposes of preparation of the US Federal and State Tax returns by working directly with Controllership/Accounting and tax teams, external tax advisors, and support provision to return true-up procedures
- Prepare and review indirect tax returns (VAT, US Sales & Use tax, GST, etc.) and maintain a tax filing calendar
- Monitor cross border payments and corresponding tax withholdings, and manage reconciliations and filings.
- Monitor and update transfer pricing policies and related documentation such as intercompany agreements; ensure implementation of policies across various jurisdictions and record adjustments.
- Work on valuation of entities and businesses for internal restructures and estimation of tax liabilities
- Coordinate with various departments and auditors (India and non-India based) in relation to Financial / Statutory audits
- Be part of development of tax strategies and work with external advisors on complex international tax planning
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and accurately communicate those changes and recommendations to team
- Document and maintain tax policies and procedures
