Description
We are looking to add a key member to our Gigamon legal team, reporting directly to our General Counsel. This individual will be a motivated, experienced and practical lawyer working on a wide range of legal matters across our entire business to find thoughtful and practical legal solutions to challenging business questions. You will serve as a trusted partner to many internal teams, including Sales, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources and other business teams. The ideal candidate should have great attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks, and to pivot priorities smoothlyWhat you ll do:
- Draft, redline, negotiate and close complex vendor, manufacturing, channel/reseller, business development, nondisclosure, and customer agreements (among various other agreements).
- Provide practical legal guidance across various corporate and business activities, working closely with a large variety of internal teams.
- Partnering with finance to manage the corporate governance of Gigamon s subsidiary and affiliate entities across 25+ jurisdictions (such as business registrations/filings), and support for global expansion initiatives.
- Assist Humqn Resources with in-house labor and employment matters.
- Quickly assess, support and/or assign incoming matters based on subject matter, urgency, and risk profile.
- Assist with development and buildout of legal operations processes
- Assist with developing and updating various corporate contracts, policies and templates.
- Collaborate on key projects, helping other team members as needed, even outside of your immediate job responsibilities.
- Develop deep knowledge of Gigamon s products, business, and operational issues to provide informed legal advice.
- Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment, with a hands-on, proactive approach.
- LLB with 10+ years of relevant experience, either in a technology company or at a top law firm.
- Strong problem-solving, drafting, and communication skills.
- Experience negotiating and managing complex contracts in software licensing and commercial transactions.
- Knowledge and understanding of doing business globally, including working across organizational, functional, and geographic boundaries
- Working Knowledge of privacy and data security issues and compliance.
- Hardworking, adaptable problem-solver, and a true team player with a can-do positive attitude.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across the company.
- Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn about the company s technology and business operations.
