Unified Portal Operations Support Job in Global Cloud Xchange

The role of IT team Member is to develop/enhance, maintain and manage the GCX Unified Customer and PC Tool, Java and SharePoint portal to ensure that the requests are delivered and adjusted to meet the requirements of the business and end users. This would include:

• Operations Support, development/enhancements and maintenance of Java/J2EE, PHP/Laravel and SharePoint applications, portals and Utilities

• Support system integration and User Acceptance Testing for system changes or upgrades

• Performing the Level 1 System and Functional admin activities; maintain the System uptime and improved TAT

• Ensure that the client machines of the end users are configured correctly after any configuration changes so that the end users can make full use of these changes

• Coordinate with IT engineering and testing teams for application development/enhancement

• Day to day issues/trouble tickets, user s requests, and production issues monitoring and address them promptly or as per the defined SLA

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop/Enhance/Support, record and maintain cutting edge web-based Java/J2EE and PHP(Laravel) applications on portal plus premium service platforms
• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications
• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
• Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
• Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues
• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components
• Coordinate with team and keeps managers well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and Lead/project manager
• In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 5 and above PHP Framework
• Java, J2EE, REST web-services, ORM/JPA, SQL, HTML, Javascript, Spring core, MVC, Apache
• REST and SOAP API design and Integrations
• MySQL/MSQL profiling and query optimization
• Dedication to delivering high-quality work and adhering to timelines

Experience (Min. years)

• 5 6 years

Technical / Functional Skills

• 5+ years experience in Java/J2EE & PHP/Laravel Operations Support and Development/Enhancement and with exposure to BSS processes as Operations/Support Engineer
• PHP preferably the Laravel framework JavaScript and JQuery knowledge HTML and CSS Ajax/JSON
• Java, J2EE, REST web-services, ORM/JPA, SQL, HTML, Javascript, Spring core, MVC, Apache
• Experience in Agile development Junit/Mockito Maven
• Ability to understand the core of a problem and research possible solutions using relevant online resources
• Linux/Ubuntu command-line Knowledge of file system, permissions, basic networking, and other fundamentals
• Knowledge of Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Laravel forge server deployment and management
• JavaScript & jQuery Solid understanding of basic JavaScript frameworks (Angular / Ember / Vue / Backbone etc.)
• The ability to translate functional requirements into cross-browser accessibility compliant websites
• Experience building web applications from scratch on the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL/MSSQL, PHP) stack
• Experience writing and maintaining web applications in a PHP framework preferably the Laravel
• Experience building websites with frontend frameworks and their related build systems
• Basic knowledge of Maintaining/Tweaking webservers
• Use best development practices such us OOPS concepts, MVC architecture and following coding standards
• Extensive involvement in all aspects of the project development cycle using PHP and OOPS concept
• Developing and maintaining next-generation web applications, products and websites in PHP MySQL/MSSQL
• Extensive involvement in all aspects of the project development cycle using PHP and OOPS concepts
• Analyzing requirements, problems and solving them with the best solution
• Knowledge/interested in operations/support and to do moderated development related to SharePoint and Java/J2EE if required, would be preferred
