Job Summary

Job Code : JPC - 500 Qualification & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Ideally 12 to 15 years of direct experience in primary electrical design for high voltage substations, ranging from 25kV to 500kV. Proven ability/experience in the above noted responsibilities. Experience with FACTS or HVDC is preferred Experience with AIS or GIS Substations is required Experience with specifying all types of HV and MV equipment used in substations Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment and develop strong internal and external relationships. Excellent time management and organization skills, ability to multi task. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Job Description Preparation of all Primary Engineering Deliverables. Experience in handling complete Engineering deliverables for AIS & GIS projects, Exposure to International experience & Standards IEC, IEEE. Substation layouts and section drawings preparation (2D & 3D) for budgetary offers / tenders / projects based on customer specification. HV/ MV/LV Cable Engineering including sizing, installation details and calculations. Prepare, review, and validate Bill of material for tenders or projects based on requirement. Responsible for all design calculations related to Primary Engineering (AIS & GIS). Grounding system design, drawings, and Bill of Materials. Lightning protection system design, drawings, and BoM. Lighting system design and BoM. Technical data sheets verification of primary equipment. Knowledge of primary equipment, such as GIS, circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, power transformers, etc. Providing optimized and customized solutions for various substation tenders (AIS, GIS, Hybrid). Use creativity wherever appropriate to provide best solutions for the given situation within the framework of tender Continuously develop standard templates and databases for tender engineering. Planning of review meetings with OU, workload for team and opex initiatives. Vendor Offer Evaluations. FAT / SAT of primary equipment, system as and when needed. Additional Skills Broad understanding of Protection and Control (P&C), SCADA, Telecom, Tele protection, as well as substation design. Knowledge and exposure on protection functions for electrical power transmission lines, power transformers and synchronous condensers. Designing protection and control schemes for series compensated lines Knowledge on analysis of fault records and fault annunciations from protection relays, substation control and protection systems and SCADA systems Short-circuit and system stability calculations. Engineering Base Power/PTD Detail Knowledge of Microstation or AutoCAD would be an asset to the team. Specialization in Power Systems Engineering and Analysis tools will be an added advantage.
