DevOps AWS Architect

Requirements

• Overall technical skills required on Chef, Ansible, GIT, Jfrog, Artifactory, monitoring and logging solutions (Dynatrace etc), Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Consul, Vault, Terraform, Openshift, AKS should understand how to implement and debug Network architecture.
  Need to have a proven background in transforming, designing and building enterprise scale applications and tooling eco-systems with a strong understanding of automation principles across the enterprise stack, different teams and stakeholders and how to industrialize these at scale. Specific skillsets are as follows:

  • Vast experience in Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) and Micro-Services in an enterprise setting, can evaluate and drive migration from monolithic application to microservices and corresponding changes in SDLC pipelines;
  • A broad IT and Infrastructure background with experience of working in a senior IT Architecture role and will have recently worked in technical roles in large scale Cloud (Private and/or Public) deployments (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
  • using Kubernetes and major Cloud providers), which might also include building hybrid deployments;
  • Must have experience of using enterprise grade requirements management solutions such as Jira, Confluence amongst others;
  • Deep knowledge of automation technologies such as Chef, Ansible and other configuration management tools, and experience of designing, planning and building enterprise scale solutions, ability to drive and implement DevOps practices and technologies;
  • Source control and repository systems (Git, JFrog Artifactory), different branching and merging strategies and how these can be applied in an
    enterprise setting;
  • Has experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions for cloud/hybrid environments, including ones in a containerized environments;
  • Experience with CI servers like Jenkins, Bamboo and others and their application to create CI/CD pipelines;
  • Strong skills in Python, shell, etc;
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker);
  • Previous execution of outlining strategic change in enterprise environment with a focus on DevOps & Continuous Delivery;
  • Should have understanding and/or experience working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases;
  • Must have experience of designing multi-tier (including all tiers, starting from caching/CDN all the way down to DB and storage) and complex architectures, using various applications, software and hardware components.
  • Security software design awareness and appreciation is a plus.
  • Should have skills on DB, Linux, Network and OS Administration
  • Should have skills on Cloud- Azure Specialist, Azure security, backup and recovery, DR
  • Should have skills in databases: PostgreSQL/CosmosDB, etc.
  • Skills on logging and monitoring would also be good: Splunk, ELK, Nagios, Prometheus.
  • Should have skills on Virtualization Software: VMWare Desktop, Virtual Box
  • Should have exposure to Application Health Monitoring, Alerting, First level resolution for Technical Issues
  • Should have experience in any monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamic, Azure Monitoring etc.
  • Proven ability to design and implement secure, reliable and scalable system deployments
    Proven ability to automate engineering processes, including provisioning and de-provisioning of resources
    Hands on working experience on Kubernetes, GitLab etc.
    Proficiency with Linux
  • • Experience with one or more commercial cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)

    Very good knowledge of AWS modules and their configuration
    Experience with one or more hypervisors (VMWare, Hyper-V, Xen, KVM, etc.)
    Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell or equivalent scripting experience
    Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Salt
    Good understanding of continuous deployment methodologies their challenges and used tools (eg. Docker, etc.)
    Excellent in basic IT tasks (Linux scripting, instance setup & configuration)
    Good knowledge of system monitoring methodologies and tools (eg. Datadog, Sumologic, etc.)

Job Responsibilities

Design and implement secure, reliable and scalable system deployments
Automate engineering processes including provisioning and de-provisioning of resources

• Create design documents that ensure consistency in development across the IT organization;

• Participate in the definition of solution architectures to ensure that the IT organization s software solutions are built within a consistent framework and aligned to strategy;

• Proactively implement activities that generally impact multiple software and infrastructural components and processes and the work of own and other teams;

• Assigned complex undertakings that regularly require the application of independent judgment;

• Plan work in short and mid- term outcomes and operate within the context of approved methods;
