Job Summary

JOB PURPOSE

To maintain the airside assets i.e. Pavements, drainage system & associate structures ensuring the service level of 98% Minimum down time of the assets Optimize utilization of assets at airside.

Establish and Manage processes of Operation and maintenance of Electrical systems to provide reliable power for the Terminal buildings, Commercial/Office buildings, Chiller Plants, Water Supply Systems, Runways, Road Lights, HT-LT Concessionaires (including ATC, Airport Fuel Pumping Station, Radars, Airline hangers), all of which are most critical for the airport operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF HT NETWORK:Establish & Manage, systems and processes for effective O&M of the 66kV, 33kV & 11Kv HT network feeding to T3, T1, T2, Cargo, New Udaan Bhawan and the critical systems of the airport. HT Network Serviceability > 98%,Adherence to Planned Maintenance Schedule > 98% OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TERMINALS LT NETWORK:Ensure highest reliability of Power for the smooth Terminal operations by providing safe and stable power to all the systems of the Terminals, Office buildings, Commercial Buildings, Road Lights, Advertisement boards, Chiller Plants. LT Network Serviceability > 98%,Adherence to Planned Maintenance Schedule > 98% OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF AUTOMATION SYSTEM:Ensure high uptime of the automation systems related to ECMS-for energy control in T3, LCMS-for lighting control in T3, C-Bus-for T3 Lounges, Alstom SCADA for MRSS operation, DG SCADA for MRSS and T3 systems, Schneider Systems for energy management, Siemens HT/LT Control System, CMMS for PM/BM tracking, Pre-Paid Metering system wireless network, Water Fountains etc. Automation Systems Serviceability > 98%,Adherence to Planned Maintenance Schedule > 98% OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEMS:Drive teams for the effective O&M of electromechanical systems within and outside terminal buildings such as DG sets, Sliding Doors, Automatic Gates, Boom Barriers, Hand Dryers, UPS, Bore-well power and panels, Building Management System and Internal/external Lighting. Electro-Mechanical Systems Serviceability > 98%,Adherence to Planned Maintenance Schedule > 98%. MANAGEMENT OF ENERGY CONSUMPTIONS, RECOVERY AND CONSERVATION:Develop and ensure adherence to systems and processes for strict control over energy consumption (from DIAL internal Users of power),recoveries (from Non DIAL users) and conservation within the AOP figures which are based on previous year s figures by daily, weekly, monthly and years check on the figures, and support finance and recovery department until realization of dues. Energy Consumption < AOP,Energy Recovery > AOP,Energy Conservation > Previous Year. PROJECTS:Conceptualization, Design, BOQ preparation, Planning, Execution, Testing and Commissioning of CAPEX and OPEX projects in the areas of operation and as per business requirement from time to time. Project Cost < Budgeted Cost,Project Completion < Due date, TEAM BUILDING & STATUTORY COMPLIANCES:Responsible for the building of highly engaged and motivated team of DIAL as well as the long term contractors teams for optimum performance output. Function as SPOC for the department for ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO 27001, ISO 180001, ISO 22301, Legal Compliances, Idea Factory. Employee Engagement=>4.15,Non Compliances = NIL.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

  • External - Roles you need to interact with outside the organization to enable success in your day to day work.
  • Interaction with DTL/BSES: Being the state electricity board, regular interaction takes place for power management, shutdowns and metering.
  • Interaction with Contractors: Close coordination with contractors is required for Works Execution, BOQ formations for quotations, OPEX/CAPEX project works, Conduct of AMC/CMCs, Optimization/Consolidation of Contracts, Measurement, Invoicing, Billing, Payments and new product developments.
  • Interaction with HT Power Users: The HT network in airport forms a ring-main system for which close interaction is required for operation of their switchgear in their substations by our teams.
  • Interaction with Electrical Inspectorate: For coordination regarding statutory compliances for all the electrical installations.
  • Interaction with External Auditors: All the mentioned quality and statutory audits being conducted demands close coordination with respective external auditors.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

  • Internal - Roles you need to interact with inside the organization to enable success in your day to day work.
  • Interaction with Operations Department: For day to day planning of O&M activities and closures of complaints/issues in the terminal buildings.
  • Interaction with IT Department: For planning of the O&M activities on the IT systems, CCTV, Data Centers, Flight information Display Systems etc.
  • Interaction with the Finance Department: For billing of energy charges to all the HT/LT users of power, resolve the queries of the end customers and support in recoveries of money by site verification and cross checking of the meters/ accuracy.
  • Interaction with Procurement: For earliest release of purchase orders/contracts by providing most accurate BOQs, technical evaluations of and earliest response to queries.
  • Interaction with the Cross Function Team Members: For Strategic Initiative (Building Customer Focused organization.), recurring and very close interaction is required with the HODs of the Commercial Aero, Commercial Non-Aero, IT, Security & Vigilance, Corporate communication, Operations, Strategic Planning Group, Business Chairman s office, HR and Facility Management etc.
  • Interaction with Compliances Department: Interaction is required with the legal compliances team, environment compliances team and business continuity management team.
  • Interaction with Other departments of Projects and Engineering (P&E): There is use and cross utilization of power sources at multiple points within the airports for which close coordination is required. The interaction with these departments also take place for sharing of resources and extending help and support including knowledge sharing.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with 17 years of Experience
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 20 years of Experience

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

17/20 years experience in the field of Core Electrical Engineering field out of which

  • 7-9 years in O&M of Electrical, Electronic & Electromechanical equipment,
  • 3-4 years in Projects,
  • 2-3 years in job role of 66/33/11kv Power Distribution
