Job Description

This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, developing applications using the Mendix low-code platform, and ensuring the applications are robust, scalable, and maintainable.

Roles and Responsibilities

Application Development

• Develop and maintain applications using the Mendix low-code platform.
• Translate business requirements into functional and scalable applications.
• Implement user interfaces, data models, business logic, and workflows within the Mendix environment.

Requirements Gathering

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.
• Participate in requirement-gathering sessions and provide technical insights.

Design and Architecture

• Design application architectures and data models that are scalable and maintainable.
• Create detailed technical designs based on business requirements.

Testing and Debugging

• Write and execute test cases to ensure the quality and performance of applications.
• Debug and resolve technical issues and defects in a timely manner.

Integration

• Integrate Mendix applications with external systems, APIs, and databases.
• Ensure data consistency and reliability across integrated systems.

Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, user guides, and release notes.
• Document application features, functionalities, and processes for future reference and maintenance.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with developers, UX designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated with the latest Mendix features, best practices, and industry trends.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve development processes and enhance application performance.

Support and Maintenance

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Mendix applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
• Implement enhancements and new features as requested by stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in developing applications using the Mendix platform.
• Familiarity with low-code development principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Mendix Studio and Mendix Studio Pro.
• Strong knowledge of databases, web services, and API integration.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
