The Groupon Ads team is seeking a full stack developer who is excited about accelerating the Ads platform that offers a rich array of advertising solutions to Groupon merchants and helps customers discover products. This is the opportunity to drive forward the consumer and merchant facing product that will help grow Groupons Global Advertising business, which is active in 15 countries across NA, EMEA and APAC. In this role, you will play a pivotal role building compelling, impactful advertising solutions designed to support the needs of Groupon Merchants by helping customers discover, research and buy across various Groupon properties. You will partner with talented product managers, data analysts, software engineers and business stakeholders. Youll contribute to a high-caliber team that is experiencing rapid and dramatic growth.

Youll spend time on the following

• Design, implement, test, maintain, and own high-performance web services.
• ?Research various open source technologies to solve existing and future problems.
• Rapidly iterate to add new functionality, solve complex problems with simple, intuitive, and customer focused solutions while shipping quality applications.
• Translate business, marketing and functional into detailed technical requirements and architecture and technical design and work plans.
• Apply experience to incrementally develop software development processes and infrastructure that enable us to measure and improve the performance output of systems, products, features and services.
  

Were excited about you if you have:

• B.E. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6+ years experience with software development.
• ?Strong in coding, algorithms, data structures and problem solving
• Experience working on large scale platform products.
• Backend experience with RESTful API and RDBMS.
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL etc
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and be comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  Experience with NoSQL databases like Mongodb, Redis, Cassandra etc.
• Experience with nodejs and reactjs is a plus
• Experience working with distributed systems is a plus
