Senior Design Engineer - Mechanical Design Job in Gsource Technologies

Gsource Technologies, an innovative design-assist firm in the construction industry, is currently seeking a skilled SolidWorks / Fabrication Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in creating Fabrication Drawings, Drafting, and Detailing, with specific expertise in the US region.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Utilize SolidWorks and other relevant software to create detailed fabrication drawings, models, layouts, and sketches.
  


• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project execution.
  


• Develop and maintain accurate bill of materials (BOM) for fabrication projects.
  


• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the design process.
  


• Work with manufacturing teams to resolve any design-related issues during fabrication.
  


• Provide technical support and guidance to junior designers and drafters.
  


• Review and analyze engineering designs to optimize functionality and manufacturability.
  


• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate materials and components for fabrication.
  

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SolidWorks / Fabrication Design, specifically in creating fabrication drawings and detailing.
  
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, and other relevant software.
  
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
  
• Familiarity with rainscreen design principles and practices.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
