Job Summary

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure OMS solutions using IBM Sterling. Assist in the installation of patches and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with SME s, other team members, and Business Analysts to extend the capabilities of the IBM Sterling OMS platform.
  • Drive design sessions of extensions and customizations of the IBM Sterling OMS development framework.
  • Perform code reviews.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams (like middleware, database, infrastructure), create interface documents and mappings to ensure that the OMS is built in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Prepare relevant technical documents and present them to the stakeholders.
  • Analyze business requirements and suggest effective order management approaches and improvements.
  • Perform unit testing, participate in system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) for post-implementation support along with the updated and new functionalities.
  • Mentor and train junior resources in developing IBM Sterling OMS solutions.
  • Analyze and document business needs, system integration, solution design/mapping, and data requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in IBM Sterling OMS as a developer, lead, or support.
  • Expertise in implementing IBM Sterling OMS solutions to support multi-brand, multi-region, multi-channel initiatives.
  • Sound knowledge of key foundation modules, like Distributed Order Management, Supply Collaboration, Global Inventory Visibility, Payment Processing, Reverse Logistics, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of RCP COM, RCP SOM, and web store application frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of cloud technologies, web technologies, and application servers like WebLogic and WebSphere.
  • Prior experience in integrating IBM Sterling OMS with e-commerce systems, product management systems, payment gateways, tax engines, fraud solutions, etc.
  • Expertise in omnichannel e-commerce implementation.
  • Hands-on experience in core Java, servlets, web services (REST & SOAP), Batch, SFTP, and API Gateways.
  • Thorough understanding of developing Java-based extensions and integration interfaces for IBM Sterling OMS.
  • Familiarity with full-stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques.
  • Rich experience in gathering functional requirements, defining custom interfaces, data flow diagrams, and functional designs.
  • Good planning and time management skills with the ability to multi-task different priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work independently with minimal direction.
  • Must take complete accountability and ownership of projects.
