PRINCIPLE PURPOSE OF JOB

Delivery Manager is responsible for serving as the strategic interface with assigned business units for the purpose of business/IT strategy planning, development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
  • Provides leadership, organizational structure and resource management for multiple Engineering teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and innovation across all aspects of technology development.
  • Provide support and mentoring to technical team leads, including talent and succession planning.
  • Lead and manage technical delivery resources.
  • Establishes and organizes application development plans aligned with the goals / strategies of the business staffed with appropriately skilled technical resources.
  • Plans work for subordinates, monitors performance, and conducts performance appraisals. Interviews and makes recommendations for additional staff. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Ensure project deliverables are accomplished on time and within budget.
  • Communicates technical and operational issues to engineering and audit leadership in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that technology solutions are fit-for-purpose and aligned with architectural principles, standards and roadmaps.
  • Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems.
  • Support business required technology freeze periods.
  • Work collaboratively with business partners to define and ensure the completeness and accuracy of system / technical requirements.
  • Communication between business, client, staff and engineering teams.
  • Manages staff, teams, and matrix resources to meet service delivery SLAs
  • Planning and management of projects supporting Enterprise areas.
  • Solution enhancements improving performance / availability
  • Facilitating discussions and consensus among various stakeholders
  • Maintenance and management of business relationships with clients and business partner organizations.
  • Corporate application availability and delivery meets or exceeds negotiated SLAs and business/client objectives.
  • Contributes to the productivity of the organization through on-time completion of projects associated with meeting departmental objectives.
  • Positive trending for customer satisfaction results.
  • Extensive background in development and delivering complex projects throughout the lifecycle.
  • Delivery Management objectives in Onshore & Offshore Model for multiple clients across the globe
  • Gather and report detailed performance data against key indicators, to generate actionable improvements to the quality of service offered.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters or bachelor s in engineering in IT/ Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Systems.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT development
  • Min 3+ years of experience in implementing projects leveraging Java, Microservices and cloud implementations i.e. AWS / Azure services.
  • Good technical experience in Java, Angular, DevOps and open-source projects.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Architecture.
  • Should be able to work with Architects & TLs and provide inputs and guidance on best practices and architecture.
  • Exposure to Agile / TDD / BDD based development
  • Organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with minimal direction
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Troubleshoot bottlenecks and propose changes to fix them.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and Initiatives in parallel.
  • Need to identify skillset gap and necessary Trainings for Teams
