Job Summary

Position Summary Define and improve the CI/CD development workflow for HARMAN Automotive, knowing the key aspects from IT operations, via software development to test automation for an integrated operation. Define and own the technical aspects of the CI/CD solutions and its building blocks. Guide engineering, product and project teams from HARMAN Automotive, with a special focus to SBU Intelligent Cockpit, to define their CI/CD Architecture and implement it. Bringing expert knowledge and experience about various automation and CI/CD tools. Evaluate and decide which tools fit best to HARMAN s CI/CD workflow. Implement prototypes. Manage a team of B&I / DevOps engineers. Supervisory Responsibilities None Job Responsibilities: Define and improve the CI/CD development workflow for HARMAN Automotive Define and own the technical aspects of the CI/CD solutions and its building blocks Drive standardization across HARMAN Automotive, with a special focus to SBU Intelligent Cockpit Guide product, project and domain teams to define their CI/CD Architecture Evaluate and decide which tools fit best to HARMAN s CI/CD workflow Develop prototypes for various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure by selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools Analyze current technology and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them Define key metrics to monitor the process and evaluate the success Monitor the processes during the entire lifecycle and define and implement improvement measures Collaborate with software engineers, architects and testers to ensure CI/CD is established and followed Pro-active engagement in internal and external discussions and decision making on CI/CD Strive for continuous improvement Manage a team of Build and DevOps engineers Qualifications: University degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or appropriate graduation) Minimum 10 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD and automated testing Managed teams of 10-15 people Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role Experience working on Linux based infrastructure (e.g. Ubuntu on AWS) Excellent understanding of git, git workflow, Ant, Gradle, Python, Perl, and Java Working knowledge of various CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Zuul, ) , open-source technologies and cloud services (preferably AWS) Methodical knowledge in Product Life Cycle Management and Quality Processes High sense of quality and responsibility, ability to work under pressure Proven ability of tackling challenging projects Demonstrates a proactive approach, getting things done, takes responsibility and ownership Ability to analyze, communicate and present comprehensively Fluent technical and commercial English Willingness to travel
