Lead Software Engineer, Apps Job in Headout Inc.

The Role: As a Lead Apps Engineer, you will be responsible for developing core features for the pod that you will be associated with and collaborating with product, design, and data teams to ensure smooth delivery of those features with an emphasis on good customer experience. In addition to helping develop features, you will also be responsible for initiating and working on app-level changes that impact the overall architecture, bring performance improvements, and lead to open-source contributions while ensuring collaboration with all cross-functional teams. What skills & experience do you need? 5+ years of experience developing mobile apps preferably in a high-growth startup with 2+ years of experience on building mobile apps using React Native Solid hands-on experience on React Native and on at least one of the native platforms (iOS or Android). Solid working experience with Javascript/TypeScript. Working with different state management solutions like redux. On hand experience with native architectures like MVC, MVVM, VIPER is a big plus. Experience developing responsive designs using open source frameworks or even better, an attempt at your own framework. Experience with interacting with product and design teams to challenge them with decisions so Solid understanding of how the app platforms work. Experience with local storage and database solutions to offer offline first capabilities in the app Have had experience leading projects and mentoring junior developers People who give up anything to optimize that animation that they just created. Nice to Haves: Swift or Kotlin, An interest in UX, travel, local experiences & hospitality. Bonus: An interest in travel, local experiences & hospitality. An experience in starting or scaling a successful startup. Anything out-of-the-box that can surprise us.
