Reports to -National Manager


Job Purpose - The Business Development Manager is responsible for New customer acquisitions in the identified Industrial segments which has a high potential to grow. The role is accountable for driving inorganic growth with new customers measured through Opportunities identified, Sales pipeline progress, Sales Volume, NSV Pool and Gross Margin delivered.

This role also develops and implements the Key account strategy to achieve medium / short term business objectives.


Key Accountabilities -


  • Accountable for financial delivery Volume, Turnover and Cash results from the assigned territories and Segments
  • Construct and understand the overall Customer contact map; build strong relationship with senior management team & other stake holders through various events, seminars, meetings, and work shops
  • Interact with regional sales & Technical team to deliver and modify the value proposition designed for the identified accounts (include but not limited to product, application, service) and ultimately bring sustainable and profitable growth to client Industrial
  • Set growth target for each key account and highlight resource plan for the execution; develop and keep focus account plans up to date
  • Develop milestones for each growth project with clear growth target; Project manage these milestones with high effectiveness by utilizing project management principles and engaging different stakeholders
  • Communicate with both external and internal stakeholders on progress, barriers, and resource concerns; be resourceful to leverage resources to solve problems so as to move the projects forward
  • Keep informed about the industry trend, customer insight, and technology developments; communicate these findings properly through different channel so to enhance the total offer for the focus accounts and secure internal resources (include but not limited to new product development and total offer enhancement)
  • Ensure all the business activities conform to BPs code of conduct, country legislative requirements as well as BP strict Health, Safety and Environment policies

  • This role has only Regional scope, but needs to engage with multiple stakeholders across the

Country frequently, especially sharing best practices, Case references, and understanding needs of customers from respective segments

Education

Minimum Graduate in Engineering degree preferred. Science with appropriate experience and performance records can be considered.


Experience

6 + years of experience in Business development / Sales including exposure to Industrial Lubricants / products sale.

3 + years in managing relationships in large accounts
