Job Title: Internal Auditor

Job Purpose

To enhance the organization s risk management, internal control, and governance processes by identifying risks, evaluating internal controls, and executing audits across business functions in line with the company s internal audit framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan.
• Identify business risks and evaluate existing controls to mitigate them effectively.
• Participate in opening meetings with key stakeholders to define the audit scope, objectives, and approach.
• Conduct detailed process walkthroughs to assess risk and control frameworks.
• Evaluate the design adequacy and operational effectiveness of business processes and internal controls.
• Engage with business teams to identify root causes and recommend actionable, sustainable solutions.
• Draft concise, accurate, and informative audit reports that clearly communicate findings and risks.
• Develop risk-based audit programs by selecting the right audit techniques, test procedures, and sampling methods.
• Maintain detailed working papers and documentation in compliance with IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors) standards.
• Contribute to the identification of the audit universe and perform risk assessments of audit entities.
• Assist in the development and periodic review of the annual internal audit plan.
• Stay updated on internal and external changes in the risk landscape that could affect the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications like CIA, CA, or CISA preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk assessments, and control evaluation techniques.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead audit assignments effectively.
• Proficiency in audit tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
