Mission Statement:

As the ITM/Continuous Improvement Manager for the APMEA Hub, you will be the Integrated Transformer Management (ITM) System Leader, responsible for driving transformational change and process improvements across multiple factories and functional teams in the region. You will be focused on improving ITM system maturity and demonstrating improvements in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

In this leadership role, you will partner with the Factory Managers and Hub Leadership Team to develop and operationalize the Strategy Deployment process, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. You will also lead a team of ITM/CI Specialists while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and fostering a high-performance environment.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead and Support Team:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Hub ITM/CI specialists and factory ITM/CI specialists, ensuring high performance and continuous professional development.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and innovative environment, aligned with organizational goals.

Process Improvement:

  • Act as the change agent for driving continuous improvement, eliminating waste, and using ITM lean methods (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, etc.) across the organization.
  • Lead the implementation of the ITM system and work towards driving improvements in ITM maturity scores to reach the ideal operational state.

KPI Optimization:

  • Optimize KPIs across factories and functional organizations, driving productivity and efficiency using ITM tools.
  • Develop financial acumen to prioritize actions that will impact the bottom line.

Cost-Out & Productivity Projects:

  • Create, manage, and facilitate cost-out and productivity projects aimed at achieving targets and improving operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the sustainability of results through problem-solving (Root Cause Countermeasures) and continuous improvement initiatives.

Training and Capability Building:

  • Build continuous improvement capability by training and coaching employees on ITM tools and methods.
  • Foster a coaching culture to build organizational capabilities, increase employee engagement, and drive accountability.

System Expertise:

  • Serve as the ITM system expert, providing guidance and support to the leadership team, ensuring successful implementation, and driving improvements in KPIs across the region.

Travel:

  • The role will require up to 35% travel within the APMEA region.

Your Background:

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering (minimum). An MSc/MBA equivalent is advantageous.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in transformers, automotive, or industrial equipment parts manufacturing.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in facilitating and leading Kaizens and major improvement projects.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Proficient in lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, 5S/Waste Observation, Daily Management, SMED, TPM, Process 3P, DMAIC, and other Toyota Production System (TPS)-aligned methodologies.
  • Experience with Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, Honeywell Operating System, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Certified Lean Practitioner (e.g., TPS/Toyota School, BB Lean 6 Sigma, Train-the-Trainer certified, etc.). Quality-related certifications are advantageous.
  • High integrity, a disciplined and systematic approach to lean methodologies.

Cultural and Regional Leadership:

  • Proven experience managing regional teams across different cultures and countries.

Languages:

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
