Mission Statement:
Oversee the procurement process and coordinate with internal stakeholders such as production, finance, engineering, and operations to align procurement activities with business needs. Ensure timely material availability in line with project requirements while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Your Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring that purchase orders are issued and materials are available to meet project requirements.
- Track and monitor orders to ensure timely delivery of materials for projects.
- Implement and maintain processes to evaluate supplier performance, including delivery and quality, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the quality team to assess and resolve any issues regarding the quality of purchased items.
Risk & Data Analysis:
- Analyze data to identify potential unfavorable events and prepare strategies to mitigate risks.
- Ensure policies, practices, and procedures are followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.
Coordination & Communication:
- Coordinate procurement activities with internal teams such as engineering, production, and finance to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain effective communication with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth procurement processes.
Material & Logistics Management:
- Independently handle import and domestic procurement of materials.
- Have exposure to material planning based on continuous production schedules.
- Apply knowledge of GST, VAT, custom clearance, and other taxations to ensure compliance.
Cost Optimization:
- Contribute to cost-cutting and cost-saving activities.
- Implement lean manufacturing tools like KANBAN and VMI.
Inventory & Process Management:
- Manage inventory effectively and support the smooth operation of procurement processes.
- Apply basic knowledge of engineering drawings in procurement activities.

Your Background:
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
- 12-15 years of professional experience in procurement.
- Extensive knowledge of import/export material handling and the procurement lifecycle.
- Familiarity with ERP and SAP MM environments.
- Knowledge of GST, VAT, and custom clearance procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in cost-cutting and cost-saving initiatives.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SAP MM and MS Office.
- Good analytical skills and experience with inventory management.
- Strong follow-up skills and ability to expedite materials.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and KANBAN/VMI tools.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.
Languages:
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
