Job Summary
A primary role ofa Customer Quality Engineer includes root causal analysis, containment,corrective and preventive action of product/offering issues. The role is alsoexternal and internal customer facing, to drive rapid resolution of customerquality issues. The Customer Quality Engineer will support Quality leaders toidentify highest impact customer issues and drive their resolution for thecustomer. You will coordinate action plans to address customer critical qualityissues, including Root Causal Corrective Action (RCCA) for manufacturingprocess, design and supplier defects. You must be detailed-oriented,self-motivated and drive tasks to completion. You must have excellentcommunication and leadership skills, verbal and written. You must be a teamplayer who also works independently and proactively. Must be able andwilling to think and act strategically and tactically. Comfortable coaching andmentoring others in customer-facing roles. Other responsibilities as requiredto meet Quality Function and business objectives May include up to 10% travel.
Organize andinfluence teams or individuals outside the Quality organization to get resultsright and fast for the customer
Communicateappropriately and effectively both technically and non-technically
Support Qualityleaders with data analysis and metrics to ensure key customer issues areresolved or escalatedBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Technology. 2- 5 Years years of experience in an electronics environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Broad electronics knowledge base and excellent problem-solving skills, employ self-motivation, and function proficiently in a team environment. Ability to analyze nonconforming product returns using electronic equipment, schematics, and procedures to identify root causal factors to component level. Ability to generate analysis reports and respond to customer corrective action requests. Strong computer skills, with experience using MS Office tools - Word, Excel and Access. Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and concepts ispreferred.
