Job Summary

Core Activities
Responsible for a project team of multi-skilled employees, including maintaining the project Safety Plan and OH&S responsibilities within the team.
Should possess common best practice system designs and engineered solutions for the Telecom-SCADA systems of Metro projects.
List of Skill-sets & know how: PAS, PIDS, RADIO-TETRA, MCS, TELEPHONY, FOTS, OA-IT, CDRS, TELECOM-SCADA, ACS, CCTV, Third-party Integrations, etc.
Deploy standard methodologies in the delivery and control of projects. Ensure use of Honeywell project processes and tools.
Deliver to the financial objectives for the project and control billing and costs for the project. Drive project team to maintain Estimated Actual Cost at Completion.
Manage the contractual requirements of the project to ensure Honeywells risk exposure is minimized and controlled through timely responses and internal escalation.
Managing the complete design, preparation and submission of Design submittal in accordance with project planning requirements.
Ensure trouble free design engineering, application engineering, commissioning activities as well as technical project management including reporting progress on timely manner to management and customer.
Assess customer site for design and installation, commissioning requirements for complex and integrated system.
Define scope of the project. Plan / manage technical resource requirements, allocate appropriate resources to projects / project managers to achieve capacity management and financial goals.
Manages the relationship with the installation subcontractor ensuring all delivery scope is completed on time and budget
Provide Technical direction to project team members and technical Support to field technicians. Direct the day to day operations of the project team.
Use Quality Assurance procedures and ensure defect-free hardware and software to field delivery team.
Ensure applicable local, industry codes and standards are upheld and Honeywell SOPs are adhered to.
Drive Project performance to achieve, on-time delivery, zero or positive deviation and proactive technical issue prevention. Ensure the design solution is fit for purpose in meeting the project requirements with the lowest cost of delivery.
Ensure expansion of business value within the market via delighted customer philosophies.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools.
10-14 years of work experience in a projects environment, extensive on-site knowledge with a minimum experience of 6-8 years of relevant experience on Metro projects with Telecom-SCADA package.
Knowledge of Networking and Data Center environment.
Advanced Network / PC certification will be an added advantage.
Advanced knowledge of networking, database technology, integration protocols, and current trends in the industry.
Knowledge of BACNet, LON, Modbus, OPC, SNMP and other protocols will be added advantage.
Previous experience working with highly complex technical solutions in the transportation industry, specifically in Metro projects with Telecom-SCADA package.
Proven track record in a project design and engineering capacity involved in the delivery of technology-based projects.
Previous exposure to a site base, construction environment.

  • Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Systems, Electrical Engineering
