The Honeywell HPS Technology team at Honeywell Technology solutions (HTS) is responsible for supporting current Honeywell products in the HPS domain & development and standardization of new technology for insertion into NPI. The leader for this team is responsible for driving engineering strategies to support the business growth from HTS India for HPS by aligning with global strategies. Apply strong business acumen, domain background & industry engineering experience to provide leadership and direction to a diverse group of professional engineers working with global teams to build and support outstanding products and service. Work with the Engineering Teams to enable and drive collaboration with the global community so that work done in HTS HPS fully aligns with the global business value creation. Work effectively across geographical boundaries and act as a change agent. Will analyze the market for competitive intelligence information and develop new growth opportunities.

Honeywell Thermal Solutions and Honeywell Technology solutions are seeking an Engineering Manager to develop and lead the India team working on burner management & control systems and instrumentation in the gas train for fuel delivery. You will lead the development of Honeywell's next generation product from prototype to market and provide individual expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs. You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a talented engineering team of senior professionals responsible for ramp up and development for Thermal Solutions in India.
  • Motivate teams that are designing new or modifying existing products, parts and processes.

  • TECHNOLOGY, BUSINESS and DELIVERY MANAGEMENT
    • Staffing, Capability Development, MRR, AOP and Growth Planning
    • Work closely with regional and global product marketing leaders for idea conceptualization for driving innovation
    • Management by Metrics Establish systems for Collection and analysis of metrics, establish performance capability baselines on productivity, BIQ and Competency and devise improvement actions and track them
  • STRATEGIC IMPACT
    • Actively pursues knowledge of competitive technology options and evaluates potential. Uses market and customer knowledge for growth direction.
    • Focus on creating SW products and offerings & products for HGR markets. Sustains the innovation culture in the team

    • People management including goal setting, appraisal, periodic engagement meetings through a set of first level people leaders.

Skill Set

  • Degree in Electronics / Software / Instrumentation engineering with 14+ years of experience in multidisciplinary programs (Software+ Firmware + Hardware + Mechanical)
  • 5 or more years of demonstrated leadership experience in working and mentoring entry, experienced, senior and supervisory level professionals
  • Exposure of working for Industrial automation. Any experience in heating, Combustion or gas train applications would be highly desirable
  • Understands AI, ML, Cloud technologies and its commercialization. Ability to envisage SW offerings within a products business and create revenue streams
  • Understand Product lifecycle maintenance and product road mapping
  • Experience of setting up new teams & labs,
  • Ability to Innovate new products and offering aligned to STRAP by working with MKTG & Customers. Instill innovation culture in the team
  • Ability to adapt processes to deliver results in terms of cycle time and quality
  • Hire and develop a high performing team
  • Understand market, competition and customer knowledge to drive growth
