Key Responsibilities
Development of embedded hardware, including design, implementation, bug-fixing, documentation and validation for embedded system.Schematic capture, simulation and PCB layout to meet DFM requirements. Key components selection, concept design analysis according to product requirements. Performs DFMEA design reviews and electrical design reviewsDevelop and execute product test plan, review and report test result and develop action planTroubleshooting and fix all related issues on new development productEMC, EMI and safety strategy development;Writes technical reports on results and conclusions drawn from experiments conducted and incorporates findings in formal specifications.Translates regulatory agency requirements into product designs by coordinating the activities of engineering, quality, manufacturing, and related organizationsParticipates in establishing operating procedures on new products and components.Originates, refines, and releases manufacturing or inspection work directions.Interacts with customers, design agency and/or supplier counterparts to resolve moderate to complex design, development, production and acceptance issues.Evaluates and implements innovations and technological advances that improve quality, reduce flowtime, improve productivity, and enhance operational surety.Interprets customer functional expectations and defines product requirements for future development activitiesIdentifies product requirement or performance issues, works with program manager and design team to negotiate resolutionProvides technical support and guidance for the resolution of various customer and interdepartmental needs on an as required basisContribute to budget and resource planningAbility to travel up to 10%Be part of a team that uses test equipment and instrumentation to test product designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply prescriptive methodology to project tasks
- Collaborate with various engineering functional teams
- Perform specification review
- Hardware design
- Communicate any non-compliance incidents to pertinent parties
- Hardware testing
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment
- Execute project subtasks in order to meet customer specifications (designing, testing, etc)
- Identify areas for technical improvement using engineering knowledge and principals
YOU MUST HAVE
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;Knowledge of Power Electronics4-6 years embedded product development. Experience in leading small design teams;Excellent teamwork in a dynamic project environment;Solid experience in schematic capture and PCB layout design software (Mentor Expedition, Cadence);Expert in analog design (monolithic and linear amplifier, switching power supply, filters, etc.Expert in digital hardware design (ARM Cortex-A series/ M series, DSP etc.); Experience in WIFI, Bluetooth preferred;Skilled in MATLAB, Lab VIEW, C++, C, and/or Visual Basic is preferred.Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills- Bachelors degree in engineering
