Honeywell Thermal Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer at Lead System Engineer level to support our work developing burner management and control systems. Your responsibilities are
Interfacing with aor client.
Determining their (evolving) needs to be realized in hardware.
Interact with a software architect or engineer(s), or with other mechanical or electrical engineers.
Generating the highest level of hardware requirements, based on the user's needs and other constraints such as cost and schedule.
Ensuring that this set of high level requirements is consistent, complete, correct, and.
Performingto determine the best methods or approaches for meeting the hardware requirements; making maximum use ofor already developed components.
Partitioning large hardware systems into (successive layers of)and components each of which can be handled by a single hardware engineer or team of engineers.
Ensuring that maximallyis developed.
Generating a set ofrequirements, together with the designers,, and the user, which determine that all of the high level hardware requirements have been met, especially for the.
Generating products such as sketches,, an early user's manual, and prototypes to keep the user and the engineers constantly up to date and in agreement on the system to be provided as it is evolving
Ability to travel up to 10%
Exposure of working for heat treatment or Combustion applications
Knowledge of instrumentation like transmitters, valves, regulators, etc
Knowledge in the field of gas trains
Must have prior experience in SIL2/3 hardware designs

1. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
2. 12+ years embedded product development.
3. Experience in leading small design teams;
- Solid experience in schematic capture and PCB layout design software (Mentor Expedition, Cadence);
- Expert in analog design (monolithic and linear amplifier, switching power supply, filters, etc. This carries high importance
- Expert in digital hardware design (ARM Cortex-A series/ M series, DSP etc.);
- Must have prior experience in SIL2/3 hardware designs This carries high importance
- Experience in design for standards like FM/CSA/UL/CE
- Exposure of working for heating, Combustion and gas train applications is highly desirable This carries high importance
- Knowledge of instrumentation like transmitters, valves, regulators, etc is desirable
- Have a holistic system level view wrt SW and Embedded part of the solution.
- Ability to Innovate new products and offering aligned to STRAP working with MKTG & Customers
- Understand market, competition and customer knowledge to drive growth
- Guide team to innovate new products, offerings and create IP
- Ability to participate in Patent Review committee and evaluate the potential of each disclosure.
