JOB TITLE : Sr. Advanced Data Scientist

Description/Brief Summary of what role entails (Job Purpose)

The Sr. Advanced Data Scientist will be responsible for creating data analytical models which allow business partners to make more informed decisions in the areas of supply chain. Sr. Advanced Data Scientist leverages their technical abilities to synthesize complex analytical tasks into easily understood data-driven stories.

Develops predictive systems and algorithms for identifying trends and driving business solutions. Utilizes industry-leading standards for working with very large datasets to extract meaningful business information using statistics, machine learning, and heuristics. The candidate should be proficient in working with analytical softwares like R, Python, SPSS, SAS.

Sr. Advanced Data Scientist is expected to closely work with ISC Global Analytics team members as well with Enterprise IT team to align practices and priorities to support the transition of analytics to FORGE Big Data platform.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Connect with business partners and identify opportunities to drive business value via analytics solutions. Design and develop algorithms & models that use large datasets to derive business insights. Establishes scalable, efficient processes for large scale data analyses, model development, and model implementation. Translate business problems into practical analytical solutions, communicate with stakeholders to get alignment, and drive the implementation of the proposed solution Ensures the quality of work output by displaying a keen attention to detail. Mentors and develops the technical skills of Analysts and Specialist. Seeks further knowledge on key developments within data science, technical skill sets, and additional data sources

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Science / Engineering/Technology (MSc / ME / M Tech) Specialized in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or Operations research related field is preferred

Experience:

10+ years of experience in building and applying Machine Learning and analytic applications. 8+ years of experience with modeling software (R, Python, SPSS, SAS) 5+ years of experience with visualization software (Tableau, Spotfire, QlikView, d3.js) Strong hold of concepts in Statistics Experience in machine learning, supervised and unsupervised Forecasting, classification, Data/Text Mining, NLP, Decision trees, Deep Learning Algorithms Experience with Deep learning framework like Pytorch, keras, TensorFlow Experience in identifying trends, patterns and outliers in data
Experience with SQL and relational databases, Datawarehouse platforms. Have good exposure in productionalizing models using Data Science Platforms

Nature of Experience (Area/Function/Environment/Domain/Product): From any sector viz., Automobile, Aerospace, Pharma, Insurance, Retail Technology Specialist role in a Statistical / forecasting domain.
