Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the DBS India Technology team. Principal Responsibilities Manage the development and implementation of IT projects for Enterprise wide initiatives: Analyse user requirements and come up with a blue print of feasible systems solution. Lead the clear choice exercise wherever applicable. Manage the end to end systems delivery life cycle (or project life cycle) from approved Clear Choice to Implementation to ensure business requirements are met or exceeded, on time and within budget in line with business case of the project. Provide technical support to business for enabling commercialisation of projects after technical go-live. Define Critical Success Factors (CSFs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other objectives that must be met by the project requirements including non-functional requirements like Capacity handling, Response time, secure access, Alerting, Monitoring. Create Project plans, Risk Register and all project artefacts required as per the HSBC Framework. Monitor and report Project health from Costs, Schedule, Quality perspective and using the standard tools. Produce effective progress reports for assigned projects to keep management apprised of project status, major issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone achievements or misses. Run Project working Group and Project Steering Committee meetings with Project participants and other stakeholders including Project Sponsor. Facilitate the resolution of issues that come up during Project execution. Follow the IT Cost Management Governance for External vendor spends. Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders within Business/Functions, Group IT. Build and manage relationships with Vendor Partners/Fintechs in this space and monitor their performance as per HSBC standards for Third Party Management. Collaborate with IT Infrastructure team for ensuring timely availability and support for IT infrastructure required for Projects. Contribute to the smooth running of IT systems Manage the resolution of production issues with the minimum disruption to the business. Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators. Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Policies. Perform regularly the IT Service Owner responsibilities as laid down in the Technology Policy and Standards. Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control. Report Operational losses if any arising due to control weaknesses in systems and within the stipulated time period. Develop a good level of understanding of the relevant business systems of the Group that are required to support the business/functions. Prepare and submit information & data in response to indents requested by Regulator, Internal/External Audit, Second Line of Defence (Compliance, ISR) and CAO/CCO. Requirements Graduate / Post graduate preferably with certifications like PMP, PMI-ACP, ITIL 13+ years of IT experience with 5 years in delivery and support within banking domain. Past experience in development and design of systems running on Unix/Windows and using Java/.Net/PL-SQL, Oracle/SQL Server/DB2, databases. Working knowledge of application server / middleware technologies. Familiar with tools used in Software Development for Testing, Build, Configuration and Release Management. Project Management experience with proven ability to co-ordinate activities Analytical, Problem Solving, Trouble Shooting, Inter-Personal and Communication skills. Self-Driven and Team player. Exposure to cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) or digital technologies would be added advantage.
