Job Summary
Job Role:
We are looking for a data scientist that will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver better insights. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems
Job Responsibilities:
- Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning
techniques - Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
- Extending company s data with third party sources of information when needed
- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
- Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
Minimum Qualifications:
- Postgraduate or bachelor s degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Economics from a top-tier institute
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in the data analytics field
- Expertise in Python/R for performing data analysis and visualization
- Expertise in machine learning algorithms implementation using Python/R.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms - linear regression, logistic regression, KNN, Random Forest, Support Vector Machines, Clustering, and Natural Language Processing
- Strong knowledge of the sampling, selection biases, normalization techniques, and distributions
- Build predictive models from multiple unstructured and structured data sources, develop advanced algorithms that extract and classify information from large datasets
- Enhancing data collection techniques, data mining, analyze the data and build models around it
- Must be a good team-player, should have good written, verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills.
