• Cloud Architect is responsible for providing technical leadership in support of IBS's initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms.
• Cloud architect is responsible for the Platform, Operations and Security Products of the Cloud Centre of Excellence.
• Cloud Architect will be responsible for ensuring that mission critical applications are deployed and optimized for high availability, security& privacy compliance and disaster recovery.
• The Cloud Architect reports into the SaaS hosting organization, but would be embedded into Cloud-DevOps to provide architectural leadership and best practices.
• Candidate will lead a team of cloud platform engineers.

Job requirements:

• Drive highly resilient cloud deployment architecture and DevOps tools and technologies across the engineering organization and establish standardization of tools and technology stacks
• Deliver Technology Products that can be consumed or enhanced by the divisional development teams.
• Drive migration of existing on-prem software applications and components to cloud environments
• Provide technical leadership for cloud based application hosting and mentor Cloud platform engineers to build a high performing team
• Create work practices and processes for implementing routine maintenance, incident response, CI/CD pipeline for all production applications
• Design, develop and implement automation and monitoring for different systems and infrastructure

Experience:

• At least 5+ years of experience as a cloud architect and 8 years of experience in AWS / Azure
• Must have lead large cloud transformation and migrations programs.
• Expert level skills in PaaS technologies Containers, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud services.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, Terraform etc.
• Experience with application and infrastructure management and monitoring tools
• Knowledge of deploying containerized applications (such as Docker) on cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in cloud-based security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting
• Strong experience in Cloud Managed services (EKS/ECS, RDS, Serverless etc.)
• Strong skills demonstrated in DevOPS & CI-CD. Expert level skills in Git, GitHub products, Jenkins, Artifact Management (Nexus, Artifactory)
• Must have experience in developing Infra-as code using Terraform or similar
• Must have automation skills using Cloud native automation toolset.
• Experience in cloud-based security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting

Key Skills:

• Advanced degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics
• Design and rollout of multi-tier, high-availability infrastructure architectures in an Enterprise & cloud environments (AWS, Azure) adhering to DR, Business Continuity and availability best practice.
• Building and recommending a migration approach to lift and shift the workloads to Azure /AWS or architecting a green field development and/or production platform for new applications. Able to help shape transition and transformation strategies.
• Knowledge and experience of AWS & Azure commercial models and how to optimize for a given engagement or use case.
• Thorough background on general infrastructure components like Networking, Server platforms, storage, application structure, Identity, Security (Encryption, PKI), load balancing, etc.
• Good working knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures.
• Excellent English communication capabilities, both written and verbal
• Should be an effective communicator that works with all stakeholders across various departments within the company as well as externally with customers, partners, and vendors.

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or similar, with relevant on-the-job technical experience
• Advanced certifications on AWS or Azure platforms is desirable but not mandatory
