Job Summary
Perform basic and detailed piping design engineering activities, including layout design, equipment arrangement, and routing of piping systems. Develop 3D models using software such as PDS, PDMS/E3D, or SP3D, considering equipment, civil, structure, piping, supports, and cable trays. Extract drawings, reports, and other project deliverables from the 3D models. Prepare piping general arrangement (GA) and support drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Collaborate with other disciplines, such as civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation, to coordinate design activities and resolve interferences. Provide support to the procurement and construction teams by creating detailed material take-offs, bill of materials, and specifications. Ensure that piping materials, including pipes, fittings, valves, and supports, comply with the required standards and specifications. Prepare and review statutory approval drawings and documentation as required for project compliance. Maintain accurate and organized design documentation, including drawings, models, and reports. Collaborate with project engineers, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
