Principal Architect- AI/ML Platform

Job Responsibilities/Requirements

• Guide, review and provide feedback on architecture, design, technology, features, time & budget estimates, and test strategies
• A forward thinker who is passionate about developing highly innovative breakthrough technologies, and has the resilience to make innovation happen
• Keep up with rapid innovations in the AI/ML across the industry and consistently brings new ideas to the team
• Mentor a high performing team ensuring that team dynamics continue to be healthy
• Work in rapid prototype and agile development environment
• Build and own critical parts of the platform and deliver to production. Lead by example to deliver high quality enterprise software
• Partner with other architects across Microsoft Azure common goals
• Guide internal and external customers in their AI/ML driven application adoption journey
• Good understanding of the complexity of developing and productizing real-world AI/ML applications such as prediction, recommendation, content understanding and NLP
• Deep knowledge of some of the popular ML frameworks such as SparkML, Tensorflow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, H2o etc.
• Experience in building large scale distributed ML Models
• Experience in building modern Machine Learning platforms a big plus
• Good understanding of foundational statistics concepts and algorithms: linear/logistic regression, random forest, boosting, ANN s, etc.
• Experience with Human Computer Interaction applications over voice, bots, (RPA), AR/VR is a plus
• Experience in building robust data pipelines and familiarity with ETL/Data Wrangling tools
• Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP) or a containerized environment (Mesos, Kubernetes)
• Being a committer or a contributor to an open source project is a plus
